Staff Mandatory Training
All staff must now complete 2 hours mandatory training before selling or serving alcohol. We believe that training is best placed when delivered by the designated premises manager or personal licence holder on site.
We have developed a dedicated 2-hour staff training workbook, staff workbook for responsible alcohol retailing.
This workbook enables your own Personal Licence Holders to complete and supervise staff training and sign records for evidence of due diligence.
Our workbooks have been written from an operational point of view and meet the training requirements set out in the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.
Refusal Books
As part of your responsible retailing, the use of a refusal book proves that you and your team understand the need to refuse sale of alcohol at certain times. They can also be used as a tool in staff training and can provide evidence of due diligence.
